I painted this on location with friends on a beautiful spring morning at Pelican Beach. I hadn't been there before and this has now become a family favorite location because of it's peaceful remote location. We did actually see pelicans flying over the lake close to where we were! That was a first for me! I painted a little more thickly than I normally do and did a light wash of crimson and whiped it off and let some of the underpainting shine through. I hope you enjoy this painting as much as I enjoy painting it.
